Happy Fall Y’all! Anyone else love Fall? We’re huge fans over here. The weather, color change, football, and of course pumpkin spice lattes are amazing 🙂 . What’s your favorite part of Fall?
Here are 5 ways to celebrate Fall with your Pre-Kinders:
1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch –Â Students love picking out their own pumpkin, but also learning and seeing how pumpkins are grown. Hayrides are also super exciting!Â
2. Five Little Pumpkins Song – This is my favorite pumpkin song! Students will practice counting as well as identifying different emotions (grumpy, happy, sad, etc).Â
3.The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything Read Aloud –Â This is such an awesome book! It’s very interactive and engaging for students. They enjoy joining in with the sounds and movements throughout.Â
4. Go on a Nature Walk – Take a walk around your school/home and have students tell you about the different things they see. They may notice the leaves are different colors (have them name those colors for you). Students may also discover that many of the leaves have fallen off the trees, and spoiler alert they will want to play/jump in the them.Â
5. Pumpkin Playdough – Students can practice making pumpkins with playdough. They can also create the letter “p”. Students can enjoy making different faces on their pumpkins. If you see them making different emotions, ask them to identify the emotion. For example, if they draw a smiley face, ask them how their pumpkin is feeling.Â
Hope y’all have a fabulous Fall season!
